This regency-era waistcoat is double-breasted, meaning it has two rows of buttons. The stand-up collar is reinforced with horsehair lining. Both the outer and inner fabrics are made of 100% linen to be comfortable and breathable. There are two cotton tapes attached to the back to tighten for that tailored fit. The button detail looks fantastic under a tailcoat.

I am fond of the waistcoat, with only a minor concern. The collar is higher than I expected after reviewing the photos provided. Perhaps my neck is shorter than normal. The waistcoat is certainly well made and attractive.

I recently purchased a regency waistcoat. I’m so impressed with its materials and construction! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed that the double row of buttons was attached with tapes! Just as many originals were!
