Disponible en laine de poids moyen marron ou bleu marine, ce gilet à manches (souvent appelé veste au XVIIIe siècle) est le look parfait pour un homme colonial. Inspirées des vêtements des années 1770, les deux couleurs sont dotées de boutons recouverts assortis sur le devant et sur les poches fonctionnelles. Un manteau (un vêtement ayant des poignets, un col et des jupes plissées comme on le voit sur les images d'époque) serait porté par-dessus ce gilet ou cette veste à manches, comme notre redingote.

This sleeved waistcoat is very nice. I don't like modern wool that much but there is a comfortable fitting lining. The size ordered was true to my chest size but there is enough extra room for the shirt sleeves and unsleeved waistcoat to fit underneath without being restrictive in comfort or movement. I really like this option for me over heavier sleeved jackets or coats over a unsleeved waistcoat. Do need bigger color selection though.

I have received several compliments on this jacket since I added it to my outfit. The fit is fine, and it keeps me warm in cold weather. I’m happy to have it.
