Ha, this is a pretty serious petticoat! (I think the fabric is a little heavier than what’s in my black-wool cape.) This is one-size-fits-all… I’m a hefty size 16–18 in pants—and the sides of this petticoat still overlap when I tie it (front and back). Lifting it from the box when it arrived, I was a little disappointed, to be honest. It seemed heavy, bulky…coarse. But I’ve been wearing it for outdoor assignments on some pretty raw December days— windy, damp, and temperatures in the 30s°. And this petticoat has worked like a champ, keeping me comfortable and warm. (Wish the lighter-weight cape worked as well!). Good quality. It’s totally won me over.

Like it says, this black wool petticoat is thick yet not cumbersome at all. It is so soft and sturdy. It definitely keeps me warm; even when the cold wind blows. It definitely seems this will last for many years.
