A waistcoat was an everyday clothing item for a man during the American Revolution. This cut hits the wearer at the waist and the vents in the back and sides are both fashionable and comfortable. These linen/cotton (80/20) waistcoats are cool in the summer and fashionable all year round. They also have the added benefit of working pockets.
The Waistcoat looks great and fits well. Everyone that sees it likes it. My only concern is that the buttons looks loosely attached and would be hard to replace if they were lost.
I am very happy with Samson’s linen waistcoats. Although they are unlined, they are perfect for year-round wear in the South. I am so pleased with the product that I purchased not only the blue waistcoat but also the ones in white and slate. I hope to see it become available in other colors such as brown, butternut, red, and green.
